ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), develops, manufactures, and markets blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. Job Title; Global Sourcing Director
Reporting to; Global VP Operations
Location; Uppsala, Sweden

Job Summary

Secure IDDs ability to produce and deliver all products in accordance with plan, cost and specification. Ensure cost efficient procurement of raw material, direct and indirect material incl services, freights etc.
An overriding responsibility for the function’s personal, costs, expenditures, EHS, quality and investments within the budget frames and in accordance with the strategic plan. Full responsibility for the subsidiary Allergon and Freiburg. Executive responsible for Phadia AB's site Uppsala

  • Organize, manage and develop the sourcing unit within IDD. Takes ownership of skills development for all sourcing professionals in the businesses.
  • Drive sourcing savings initiatives across the division:
  • Analyzes division spend for key aggregation/consolidation opportunities and creates programs to leverage division and corporate spend wherever achievable.
  • Drives yr on yr sourcing productivity with approved contracted supply base
  • Responsible for improving functional excellence of sourcing practices/roles throughout the division.
  • Creates/implements a sourcing savings tracking system consistent for all business units.
  • Establishes common benchmarks and conducts regular reviews of sourcing programs to ensure best practices are driven across the business units.
  • Creates business processes around supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, and price inflation management.
  • Responsible for corporate interface working with corporate and other division sourcing leaders to drive sourcing savings throughout the company.
  • Represents the division on corporate initiatives and assigns resources as needed.
  • Drives implementation of all corporate agreements throughout the division.
  • Participates in negotiations for global agreements.
  • Develops a sourcing commodity organization within the division aligned with corporate sourcing.
  • Responsible for alignment with division functional groups in achieving divisional goals and objectives.
  • Works closely with plant operations leaders and their supply chain teams to achieve operational objectives around cost, quality, delivery and inventory turnover
  • Drives supplier quality improvement and accountability.
  • Aligns strategic sourcing and product engineering efforts for supplier qualification, new product development and value analysis/value engineering opportunities
  • Key member of TFS Sourcing council which develops company-wide strategies and sets priorities for key initiatives.
  • Module owner SAP MM including responsibilities according to the IS/IT Governance Model

Minimum Qualifications:
  • University degree within economics/engineering
  • Strong problem solving / coaching / analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
  • Experienced coaching alignment between strategic business plans and improvement plans
  • ISO 13485/Quality Systems experience
  • Knowledge of lean tools and methodologies and a Continuous Improvement mind-set.
  • Swedish and/or German skills
