Job Description

The Sales Operations Analyst role is part of a Sales Operation team which is responsible for managing processes associated with keeping a global commercial team operating and efficient. The team is responsible for managing sales commission plans, managing the CRM system, compiling and reporting commercial metrics, maintaining and communicating the sales forecast, commercial analytics, and mangement of some aspects of lead handling. The Sales Operation Analyst role currently being hired will have the primary duty of managing sales commission plans, however as a member of the the Sales Operations team, they will also have responsibilities related to the Sales Operations team to include production and reporting of commercial metrics and supporting the use of the CRM system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Global Molecular Spectroscopy business unit sales commission plans
  • Assist the Sales Director in creating annual commission plans for the Global Sales Managers and Sales Representatives within the business unit
  • Partner with regional stakeholders to ensure commission plans meet country specific regulations
  • Ensure global commission plans are consistent and align to divisional and business unit internal equity requirements
  • Perform market analysis to determine optimal commission payout strategies with the goal to maixmize sales employees motivation to achieve business unit targets
  • Track, report and analysis commissions on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Develop consolidated reports to ensure efficacy of commission process and ensure quick approval of commissions
  • Monitor commission payout process to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Serve as a point of contact for the sales organization to field questions and problem solve situations when necessary
  • Assist with production and reporting of commercial metrics
  • Assist with development of sales targets
  • Assist with development and maintenance of discount authority matrices
  • Assist with supporting the global sales team on the use of the CRM including training of sales personnel
  • Assist with global commercial regulatory compliance programs
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

EDUCATION: Minimum bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Math or a related business field.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years experience in the area of finance, sales operations or sales analyst work required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:

  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • Proven experience working with large amounts of data
  • Strong communication skills, experience working in a cross-functional enviornment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook) and Salesforce or other CRM tool
  • Demonstrated ability working with pivot tables, graphing and complex formulas
  • Strong project management, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic envionment
  • Must be detail-oriented, proactive, data driven and a self-starter
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately manage daily responsibilities and prioritize duties
  • Able to deal with different departments on a daily basis in order to complete core responsibilities
