Position Summary:
The Sr. Financial Analyst reports into the Sr. Manager of Finance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as finance lead for Life Science Solutions Group (LSG) IT
  • Coordinate and support development of the operating budgets, including monthly reporting, forecasting, and preparation of the annual operating plan
  • Drive rigorous and transparent financial reporting and analysis to enable better decision making
  • Serve as liaison between IT VP and other IT Finance partners
  • Establish relationships with business leadership team to provide key insights to drive actionable opportunities for growth and process improvement
  • Lead capital appropriation process for IT including: business case development, return on investment analyses, and regular project forecasting
  • Consolidate total division IT financials for reporting requests from Corporate
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting as required


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Strong financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Solid systems experience, including, but not limited to: E1, SAP, EDW, Hyperion Planning, HFM/CMR
  • Technical ability to effectively navigate interplay between financial systems is a must
  • Very inquisitive with a natural curiosity
  • Ability to establish credibility and indirectly influence others, building effective partnerships throughout the organization (e.g., internal customers, FP&A, senior leadership)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interpret and summarize financial analysis results in a clear, concise, accurate manner
  • Desire to formulate and drive process improvements, with confidence to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines
  • Display maturity in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive financial information
  • Foresight to anticipate implications of decisions (i.e., ability to proactively address problems)
  • Degree in finance or related field with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a finance role with hands-on experience in providing financial analysis to drive key business decisions within the context of a matrix organization and/or corporate environment
