Job Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Global Finance Director, Field & Safety Instruments (FSI), the FP&A Senior Manager for the Field Safety Instruments (FSI) business will be responsible for forging strong business partnerships with all cross-functional teams, and financial support across multiple manufacturing sites and sales offices. This leader will manage a team of 3 direct reports to drive growth, implement efficiencies, and enhance analytics for actionable intelligence to business leadership. Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive the monthly business review and forecast process
    • Coordinate with Finance & Commercial & Operations counterparts around the globe to help ensure that requirements and deliverables are met
    • Prepare the monthly and quarterly performance package and provide a thorough analysis of variances to the current plan
    • Advise management on key financial drivers
    • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against strategic/business plan and budgets
    • Provide reports to senior management that include meaningful variance and trend analysis to assist in decision making
    • Work with senior management team to develop strategies for improving earnings
    • Provide guidance and consistency across the sites for accounting and reporting for key performance indicators
    • Drive continuous improvement, leveraging PPI principles, of reporting processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Support FSI Leadership team to drive key analysis
    • Develop strong business partner relationship with the Global Sales Directors and Global Marketing Director as well as their management teams
    • Assess financials and profitability of Commercial large dollar opportunities
    • Support new product development process focused on accuracy in financial modeling to drive decision making and prioritization of projects
    • Analyze global financial information of the Business Segment and assist in evaluation of alternatives to drive growth

  • Play a key role in FSI integration of PAI and RMSI business units to implement best practices and streamline reporting

  • Lead the Annual Operating Plan process globally, including alignment efforts between the business unit and country teams

  • Support the Long Term Strategic Planning Process (STRAP) and own the financial modeling

  • Assist in the design of systems and processes to gather and report business critical information

  • Support the Finance Director in coordination of financial reviews and other compliance activities to ensure accurate finance reporting

  • Ad Hoc analysis and special projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or CPA preferred

  • 6-8 years of progressive finance/accounting experience

  • Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to support business unit executives with analysis and presentations

  • Willingness to dig into details and analyze variances and trends

  • Excellent financial modelling skills

  • Strong systems skills with working knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, able to manage priorities and workflow

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time
