Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Financial Analyst is to drive the monthly financial sales reporting and forecasting processes while providing analytical support to the finance, sales, and marketing departments. The Senior Financial Analyst will develop and analyze current processes and procedures that improve operational or sales efficiencies within and between departments. To be successful within the role, a candidate must have strong math, analytical and communication skills and the ability to think logically and be able to analyze different parts of the problem at the same time and solve a variety of different business problems to drive commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in development of sales forecasting, budgeting and resource analysis used within the sales organization
  • Interpret data and provide business insights, understandable to non-technical users, communicating key findings throughout the organization
  • Provide support functions essential to sales force productivity, including assisting management and U.S. leadership to conduct business reviews with the Lab Sales and Clinical Sales teams
  • Coordinate financial planning efforts with key stakeholders, and develop standardized financial scorecards.
  • Maintain a high level of quality, accuracy, and process consistency. Responsible for efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to management and the sales organization.
  • Work closely with the Director of Finance to develop and analyze customer contracts, providing profitability analyses and insights to customer proposals
  • Train and support the Sales and Business Analytics teams from a data and reporting perspective
  • Perform data mining to identify potential sales trends, reporting findings and recommendations to management
  • Assist in preparation of periodic sales presentations for management
  • Assess overall business trends (state of the business regionally and nationally)
  • Enhance current reports and reporting infrastructure as needed
  • Occasional travel for sales meetings and trainings
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in financial analysis or equivalent field
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Institution with a focus in Business, Economics, Finance or other related focus.
  • CPA or Master’s Degree preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in writing and verbally with all levels in the organization
  • Ability to work with various systems and data sources to gather and assimilate required information
  • Comfortable with large amounts of data and the ability to identify key trends and variances and summarize with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to balance priorities, manage, and thrive in a complex business environment.
  • Healthcare experience preferred

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • 3+ years’ experience in financial analysis or equivalent field
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Institution with a focus in Business, Economics, Finance or other related focus.
  • Must have strong, verifiable, experience and skill with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
