For our location in Reinach (BL) we are looking for a:

Application Specialist LSMS

Your Responsibilities:

  • Product-focused hands-on application expert for LC/MS large molecule applications (OMICS, BioPharma) based at our Reinach site
  • Qualify, prepare and perform a customer instrument demonstration request together with the sales representative and customer (pre-sales)
  • Ensures training activities are provided to the customer in a timely manner while focusing on customer satisfaction and on a continually improving customer relationship leading to future business opportunities with the customer. Personally responsible for the relationship with the customer. (post-sales)
  • Must communicate clearly and quickly with sales colleagues and other relevant parties to ensure proper organization of a customer demonstration
  • Monitor performance of mass spectrometers, liquid chromatographs and related equipment and ensure proper functioning
  • Develop best practices that result in sales success
  • Convert demonstration or collaboration data into application notes or peer reviewed articles in collaboration with customers
  • Provide on-site and off-site technical support to customers and collaborators
  • Provide VOC information obtained during customer demonstrations
  • Attend conferences and other events in support of marketing activities to present scientific or technical posters and orals and in support of sales activities by, for example, manning a booth or stand
  • Test new applications, workflows, instruments and software tools

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar
  • Excellent relevant technical/analytical product line knowledge (LSMS)
  • Extensive knowledge, skills and hands-on experience in mass spectrometry coupled to liquid chromatography
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Good self-organizational skills with a high level of motivation
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Driving License
  • Willingness to travel mainly within the appointed region (DACH countries) up to 50 %
  • Strong Customer Focus Skills
  • The ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines and targets
  • Excellent fluency in German and English
  • French language skills are a positive asset
