Job Description

Main Position Goals:

  • Sells the IOMS products in the responsible territory to public organism, Universities, industries and related business
  • Manages all Sales activities in Italy for the related IOMS Products
  • Acquire new customers in the area of Geosciences, Forensics, Food science and related areas
  • Contributes to the IOMS Sales goals by achieving the country quarterly and annual targets
  • Close collaboration with the EMEA IOMS Sales team
  • Provide the financial (forecast, revenues recognition) and technical information from the field to achieve the targets
  • Responsible to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction (CAS)
  • Develop synergies with colleagues from CMD and other divisions

    Main Activities / Responsibilities

  • Achieve national quarterly and annual sales plan for bookings and revenues
  • Manages IOMS sales activities of the country and ensures timely and high quality sales reporting like leads funnel, forecast, and inputs for QBR, QMI, SIOP and other internal processes
  • Provide appropriate technical solutions and quotations to prospective customers to lead to successful closure of sales.
  • Prepare and presents technical assistance, consultation and problem solving to customers as necessary in the sales process.
  • Organize and participate in marketing activities, scientific meetings, such as seminars, workshop or demo as needed to generate sales leads and qualify them.
  • Identify key areas of growth potential and strategies to capture both short and long term growth.
  • Always ensure highest professional relationship with our customer base to achieve customer loyalty and escalate issues if necessary to solve critical tasks in the fastest way possible.
  • Follow our export policy
  • Work closely together with the Italian ULS Field service organization
  • Active use of SFDC to keep IOMS projects timely updated

Skills/Competencies/Profile

  • Experience and worked with Isotope Mass Spectrometers
  • Preferably already has sales experience
  • Customer focused
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels in different countries (factories, sales operations, internal support functions)
  • Ability to lead/organize meetings in local language and English
  • Organised with ability to prioritise work load and business/private life balance
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Team player, taking responsibility and having a pro active attitude
  • Background in Geosciences or Food Chemistry

    Job Qualifications

  • University Degree (Masters or equivalent; Ph.D. preferred) in Geosciences or related subjects
  • In depth knowledge of the Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry technology
  • Understanding of several techniques, i.e. chromatography, in combination with Isotope Mass Spectrometry,
  • Professional background in Isotope Mass Spectrometry analysis, preferable in Gas Isotopes Analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of the Italian Isotope Mass Spectrometry community
  • Good Product Knowledge of the available Isotope Mass Spectrometers in the market
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with different
  • priorities
  • Excellent inter-personal, self-motivation, sales and negotiating skills is an advantage
  • Evidence of professional presentation skills, preferable associated with scientific publications

Travel Requirement:

  • Expected to be in range of 50% in Italy
  • At time travel in other countries expected as well
  • Drivers license
