The Thermo Fisher Scientific HPLC business has been setting decisive and innovative trends for many years in the development, manufacturing and marketing of instruments and software for High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The expertise of our highly qualified staff contributes significantly to our economic success, enabling us to continuously expand our site in Germering near Munich.

For the support of our Team we are looking for a


Generalist / Personalreferent (m/f) - fixed term (2 years)

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive recruitment and hiring efforts within established guidelines through the whole recruiting life-cycle in close collaboration with our Talent Acquisition (TA) Team incl following actions as contract and works council hearings preparations as well as entries in the HR Information System SAP/HR to ensure data integrity.
  • Deliver day-to-day operational HR support to the business, managers and employees in an effective and efficient manner
  • Apprentice program coordination and supervision
  • Support Managers and employees in the development of leadership and skills through training, engagement and development interventions, as appropriate ( i.e. provide HR training sessions, design and set-up yearly site onboarding training plan in the Thermo Fisher University in collaboration with different departments, serve a TFU coordinator for the site)
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and provide recommendations for resolution and drive implementation
  • Support works council relations in close collaboration with the Site HR Manager and the General Management in application of the legal requirements. Coordinate local Works Council activities supporting and participating in negotiation and consultations.
  • Implement and maintain HR policies, instruments, procedures, in line with the Quality management System as ISO, Corporate and Country guidelines and harmonization requirements
  • Participate in HR and cross-functional projects to drive and support continuous improvement for the betterment of the organization
  • Other HR tasks on as needed ( i.e. payroll audits, time tracking management,)

Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree from an University ( of Applied Sciences) with specialization in HR or business related field or HR degree with significant relative work experience
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist with multi-national company.
  • Experience in employment law, works council negotiations, employee relations and recruitment.
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Experience with SAP/HR and the Human Capital Management system, Workday, would be an advantage
  • Excellent communicator, pro-active, structured, self-driven, organized and positive
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Must have the ability to challenge and influence at all levels in the organization
