Duties & Responsibilities
Implement site capital-improvement projects and perform all phases of project management including feasibility studies, preliminary and detail design, developing engineering specifications and capital estimates, contractor bidding and selection, and construction site management, equipment specification, commissioning and trouble-shooting. Manage multiple smaller capital projects including planning, designing, estimating, directing, and leading project teams or process improvement teams, supervise construction contractors on a daily basis, direct engineering consultants on detail design work, and develop content and subsequent review and approval of qualification documents including IQ, OQ and PQ. In addition to facility issues, candidate will be responsible for process equipment specification, installation, commissioning, functional optimization, liaison with process development/ technical operations for process implementation, and operator training of the installed equipment. Accountable for assuring projects are completed as designed, safely, on time, and within budget.
Five plus years’ experience in capital project management for facility or process equipment projects in a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, presentation, time management, and written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, utility/ facility/ equipment qualification, and effectively interact with clients. Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and possessing knowledge of cGMPs, regulatory compliance and manufacturing equipment is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project is required.
Desired Education: B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
