Sr. Financial Analyst – Service

This position is responsible for financial business partnership to the Service Leader and leadership team of Service within Molecular Spectroscopy Business Unit. In addition to supporting strategic growth initiatives the candidate will drive effective reporting, forecasting and accountability processes to support tactical execution of the business.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead efficient and effective global reporting, forecasting and accountability processes for the business service line
  • Key decision-making business partner; analyzing and advising on:
    • Business opportunities / contracts / quotes
    • Pricing strategies, margin analysis and product positioning
    • Headcount and other investment proposals
    • Parts Inventory
  • Lead deep dive analytics into business challenges to support corrective action planning and strategic decision making
  • Coordinate with Services business team driving meaningful analytics and reporting into the business – working closely with sales operations and commercial leadership
  • MBR/QBR reporting and presentation of financials
  • Drive reporting, forecasting and accountability process for spending within the product line
  • Work with sales operations and strategic pricing to evaluate price/volume levers and the effectiveness of promotions
  • Coordinate the development of the Annual Operating Plan for the service lines
    • For organic revenue growth, ensuring alignment between business unit and commercial objectives and targets
    • Coordinating volumes with global and site operations teams

Job Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting is required; an MBA or CPA is strongly desired
  • An ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and a strong aptitude in financial analysis
  • He/she should have a minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible business experience, including managing global teams
  • Experience in a global manufacturing organization is desired
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), Cognos reporting tool (or equivalent), PowerPoint, and Hyperion is preferred
  • The successful candidate should expect travel 0% - 25%
