Responsible for FCS Japan facility including day to day operations. Ensure systems and capacities are sufficient to meet FCS’s storage needs. Independently develop strategies and tactics for improving operation efficiencies while improving service levels and profitability.
Provide leadership and assume responsibility for the functional and financial control the facility including development and management of an annual business plan budget.
Develop relationships and good business practices with new and existing clients in Japan region and increase profitability through new business wins. Form good working relationships with the relevant Government Bodies.
Manage, develop and expand current FCS facility located in Japan. Implement plans for the FCS facility including staffing levels and ambient, cold and frozen storage and equipment capacity. Manage the internal Japan supply chain to ensure service levels are met. Implement training programs for employees. Develop and maintain systems and procedures that ensure standards relating Good Distribution Practice and Health & Safety are complied with. Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against establishes standards. Monitor performance according to agreed standards and take necessary action to meet the agreed performance levels. Manage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards. Explore, implement and set up efficient distribution/delivery services in meeting business needs. Authorize staff/organization structure alignment in agreement with Regional Director for Network Facilities and Director for Global Supply Chain Services. Financial accountability as detailed in the Thermofisher Authorization Matrix. Responsible for the strategic business decision in relation to new business opportunities. Staff recruitment of authorized vacancies/headcount in conjunction with HR.
