Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on GMP manufacturing equipment. This includes but is not limited to: mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, 24-480v controls, and APACS/ Rockwell automation controls on granulation equipment, tablet presses and coating pans. Assists manufacturing operators in equipment set-up and set-up simplification. Performs necessary adjustments, repairs, and process troubleshooting during production. Assists manufacturing operators, engineers and supervisors with equipment installation, modifications and continuous improvements. Maintains equipment files. Researches and orders equipment parts as needed. Actively participates in FMEA and PPS sessions.
Five years experience as mechanic. Ability to read/ understand piping and instrument diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment assembly drawings and other equipment related documentation. Job will require wearing of NFPA 70E personal protective equipment as well as Tyvek coveralls and various styles of respirators. Interpersonal skills to function in a team environment are necessary. Be familiar with Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to work overtime as needed and be on an on-call basis as needed.
