About the role
Our HR team is a critical function to the business. They are the bridge between our colleagues and the wider global business as we go through an exciting growth period due to Patheon, being acquired by Thermofisher Scientific Inc. towards the end of 2017. Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with revenues of more than $20 billion and approximately 65,000 employees globally.
During this transition period, the role of our HR Manager will be to recognise the needs of our developing business and help us to become more adaptable, resilient, quick to change and customer-centered. This recognition brings about the need for ways of working or programs that will provide our colleagues with meaningful job design, growth, challenge, communication, and effective leadership. Making a fundamental contribution to the business’ culture, development, and talent management. Our future.
At the same time, as this is a generalist role you will still have responsibility for the day-to-day; conflict resolution, supporting Talent Acquisition with recruitment, monitoring of HR policies, supporting Comp and Bens with payroll, providing internal coaching to improve performance and employees communications. Variety and challenge.
You will have at least two years’ HR leadership experience under your belt, combined with your CIPD qualification. You will have delivered an operational and people strategy that is performing well through knowing your stakeholder business areas as well as you can. Being able to demonstrate technical strategic awareness of your market and having a commercial mindset to enable rich and meaningful partnership.
You will be able to flex your communication style so that it mirrors the style adopted by all areas of the business; from our senior leadership team, to your team of HRBPs, to our production operators. Giving direction and guidance to ensure we are all working towards achieving the business’ goals.
In return you will discover resources that match your personal development interests, a culture that welcomes your ideas and opportunities in a way that only a global leader can. And an opportunity to be working alongside enthusiastic colleagues who a dedicated to making a difference to the world. Come join us to make a difference too.
