For our site in Germering we are looking for a

Software Test Engineer (f/m)

Your responsibilities:
  • Work closely within scrum teams to develop testing material to ensure software products are compliant with the specifications.
  • Enhancement and maintenance of test automation using of different testing tools
  • Analysis and development of test material and documentation (test plans, test scripts, test reports) for chromatography data systems (CDS) products and other Thermo Fisher Scientific products
  • Following different test procedures (test realisation, reporting of issues, re-testing) in accordance with the company’s new product development and introduction process.
  • Configuration and testing of the software functionality regarding different chromatography instruments
  • Participate in product design refinement review process to understand the specifications and recommend improvements
  • Assist in configuring and evaluating potential enterprise deployments

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer, IT or related discipline preferred; a combination of education and strong work experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Must be familiar with formal development methodologies, preferably Agile and the V-Model
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with attention to detail
  • More than 12 months of experience with automated test script development and execution using QTP (UFT), or any other tools is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient at written and spoken English
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Experience in using a Defect Tracking systems.
  • Proficient in PC office software such as MS Word and Excel
  • Experience in dealing with Microsoft Windows
  • Desirable additional qualification
    • ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester
    • Familiar with virtual environments
    • Desirable Knowledge of chromatography data management, mass spectrometry data management, instrument automation, and chemistry is a strong plus
    • Use of test management tools
    • Working in regulated environments that adhere to defined working and auditable procedures.
