Our Business Development Executive focused on Biologics has a multi-faceted role in our organization. This person will drive sales revenue growth through the development and implementation of strategies to generate sales from new and existing accounts in an assigned geography. Builds an internal network that enables client success. Identifies new target clients and target molecules and follows through on leads from a variety of sources. Focuses on new projects for Patheon’s biopharmaceuticals and biosimilars services (process development and cGMP clinical and commercial manufacturing services).
We are hiring a Biologics focused Business Development Executive in North America located in the Mid-Atlantic.
o New Business Development including identifying new molecule opportunities with new or exisiting clients through understanding of the market, appointment based strategic selling, leveraging personal network, interaction with other PSG and ThermoFisher teams and following up on leads
o Creating and executing sales programs for new prospective clients to increase awareness of Patheon’s service offering and key differentiators from our competition
o Identifying and presenting Patheon’s value proposition, including opportunities for strategic bundling of Patheon services.
o Management of current relationships
o Enable winning quotations and agreements
o Manages, updates, maintains and records all relevant activities in the SFDC database, and shares information and background on prospective clients within the territory to Patheon stakeholders
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as micro-biology, cellular biology, and chemistry. Process Development/Commercial manufacturing experience in biologics is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience performing and/or selling biologics, including but not limited to selling vaccines, blood, or blood components, allergenics, somatic cells, gene therapies, tissues, recombinant therapeutic protein, and living cells used in cell therapy. Leadership experience in an aggressively growing business climate. Established contacts in major pharmaceutical organizations
Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
