The Human Resources Student Program provides college students with the opportunity to gain "hands on" experience while continuing their studies at their universities. The program usually begins in the student's junior year, and students must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. The work assignments are located at the Cincinnati, OH facility in the HR department.This role offers Human Resources assignments to students majoring in Business, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, and other general studies majors in an accredited program. We consider students with business competence as well as their ability to work as team members with the HR team. The program is on-the-job training with experienced supervision and support. Work assignments commonly incorporate some entry-level work with guidance given for first-time experiences. Work assignments increase in responsibility, complexity, and challenge. Students will be exposed to all aspects of HR work including organizational development and design, benefits and compensation, recruitment from sourcing to offer stage and on-boarding, employee relations, performance management, talent management, recognition and rewards, and community service/philanthropy projects. By using the established HRIS systems, the student will also gain exposure to the importance of accuracy in data management and reporting. The work schedule is part-time with flexible hours to accommodate the student's academic schedule during the school year. Students are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
