Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for active participation in the German/Central EU LSMS sales support team and to achieve their identified goals and participate in achievement of the team goals
  • Personally responsible to manage their allocated LSMS customer trainings. Close co-operation with other product lines is required to make best use of available resources and customer requirements
  • Ensures training activities are provided to the customer in a timely manner while focussing on customer satisfaction and on a continually improving customer relationship leading to future business opportunities with the customer. Personally responsible for the relationship with the customer
  • Participate in the development of training materials and programs in cooperation with sales, service, marketing and factories
  • Provides high quality and effective post-sales support not only in terms of providing training but applicational support to customers as well working closely with factory based product and vertical marketing teams, other product line, service and sales teams
  • Working on pre-sales activities as developing applications and performing customer demonstrations will ensure that methods developed and best practices are shared with other members of the team and the responsible manager
  • Attend conferences and other events in support of marketing activities to present scientific or technical posters and orals and in support of sales activities by, for example, manning a booth or stand
  • Personally responsible for identifying training needs and ensuring that their capabilities and competencies meet the needs and requirements of the sales support team for the relevant product line.
  • Since business needs are constantly evolving must be responsive to, plan for and embrace change
  • Responsible to identify potential marketing and sales collateral by monitoring demos and apps projects and sharing such work/results with responsible manager
  • Communicate market intelligence and VOC information obtained during customer demonstrations and in the field to the responsible manager
  • Test new applications, workflows, instruments and software tools and provide feedback
  • Must work closely with other specialists both locally and within the EU CMD Sales Support Team
  • Must work closely with service engineers to resolve customer issues and support customer needs
  • Must make daily use of SalesForce.com (SFDC) to track activities
  • In addition to the above duties occasional additional duties and responsibilities may need attention as determined by the appropriate manager

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar
  • Excellent relevant technical/analytical product line knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good self-organizational skills with a high level of motivation
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Driving License
  • Willingness to travel (>75 %)
  • Additional Language skills are a positive asset

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
  • Extensive knowledge, skills and hands-on experience in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
  • Strong Customer Focus Skills
  • The ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines and targets
  • Must be flexible and prepared to undertake tasks as required
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • A good level of interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent fluency in English
