Job Description

Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst will have direct responsibility for supporting the FP&A efforts of the $2B Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Division. This role is will be actively involved in the forecasting, reporting, and consolidation processes, and will have a great deal of visibility with CMD senior leadership. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for developing solid cross-functional business partnerships, leading special projects, improving processes, and implementing business intelligence tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the consolidation monthly forecasts and monthly/quarterly business review packages, working closely with divisional leadership
  • Assist FP&A Manager with all AOP deliverables, owning Target Setting models and FX analysis, and being the P.O.C. for business units on proper AOP targets/loads/deadlines
  • Prepare monthly divisional forecasts with accuracy and timeliness to ensure visibility for divisional and company leadership
  • Perform monthly P&L variance analysis, Flash reporting, and other close procedures
  • Forecast and analyze FX impact for Revenue and EBITA and maintain FX model for division
  • Analyze consolidated business unit CapEx forecasts/actuals on a quarterly basis
  • Partner with Division Office R&D for tool development, return on investment, and process improvements
  • Partner with Division Office Marketing for global program spend forecasting and budget analysis and tracking
  • Partner with VP of HR and business unit leadership with headcount planning efforts
  • Collaborate with Finance teams in all CMD sites in assisting them with any issues to ensure a timely, accurate close
  • Act as the key contact person for CMD sites finance teams; collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and presenting data on a timely basis
  • Proactively identify, develop, and implement enhancements to existing reporting and forecasting processes
  • Analyze and process intercompany invoices for Division Office
  • Own CMD Division Office cost center reporting and budgeting providing accurate reporting and support for division office leaders
  • Ad-hoc requests as needed

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Skilled in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Smartview and Adhoc, including upload templates, consolidations, financial close procedures
  • Superior quantitative and analytical capabilities with Advanced Excel (very comfortable with pivot tables and V-look up)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with ability to maintain accuracy of information and meet deadline with little supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills; effective verbal & written communication abilities
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with a sense of urgency and understand that there may be extra hours during the financial calendar.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-5 years of related experience
