Job Description

Patheon is looking for people who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. Patheon needs talented individual who will work with the Training Department to help build effective teams and drive engagement in an environment where people are motivated to do their best for the company, its clients and their patients. As an intern you will be actively involved in engaging workers on the shop floor, identifying problems, developing effective worker driven training modules and following up on the modules effectiveness. The training intern will report directly to the Site Training Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the site Training Coordinator to identifying problems, developing effective worker driven training modules and following up on the modules effectiveness.
  • Serve as a note taker during group engagement meetings to ensure all relevant information is captured.
  • Serve as a process verifier for training module development activities, as well as, post module implementation. Captures items as lessons learned for future continuous improvement activities.
  • Draft training modules from established modules or create new training modules as needed.
  • Assist the Training Coordinator with the development of single point lessons which have been identified through other site systems (EHS incidents, CAPA or suggestions by shop floor employees).
  • Assist the Training Coordinator with the imputing of completed trainings into the Compliance Wire system. Scanning and filing of completed trainings is also required.
  • Assist with the generation of employee training folders.

Skills

  • Interest in employee development and training.
  • Be an avid listener and detail oriented.
  • Motivated self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable, dependable and accountable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office365.

Education

  • Second to fourth year student in a technical discipline preferably; however, would consider others.
