Job Description
Job title: EMEA Compensation & Benefits Projects Director
Location: Paisley, UK
  • Act as the EMEA regional lead within the global Compensation Program Management Office projects and processes; lead or support global programme development using deep international expertise.
  • Lead region-wide Benefits projects such as DB pension liability management / governance management. Work closely with the corporate team to develop change plans and evaluate accounting / cash implications.
  • Support non-US C&B mergers and acquisition activity. Create region-wide C&B integration plans for acquisitions and project-manage their implementation.
  • Work with the C&B team to develop region-wide C&B improvement plans – such as cross-border harmonisation opportunities.
  • Support corporate planning activities
  • Develop salesforce compensation plans and pay mix methodologies for the EMEA organisation
  • Present ideas and change initiatives to the EMEA HRLT and other business leadership forums
  • Lead on C&B communication and training activities for EMEA HR and managers to support the launch of new programmes and to bed in self-service tools. Lead the Total Comp process communications at the regional level.
  • Establish project management methodologies to track and manage all wide-scope C&B projects impacting the region
  • Conduct research, develop best practices and provide recommendations on global plans and programs
  • Develop analytical tools to provide advice on compensation trends and make recommendations, in conjunction with HR peers, to influence business planning decisions
  • Manage the enhancement and development of systems and tools to support the Compensation and Benefits processes and execution
  • Effectively perform your duties whilst acting at all times in accordance with the Dignity at Work Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and our values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement
  • Embrace and participate in PPI initiatives to identify improvements and cost savings to the business.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Requires extensive and progressive, professional level experience in Compensation / Benefits management. Demonstrated proficiency in leading the design and implementation of both Compensation and Benefits programs is required, including an understanding of the associated accounting / actuarial impacts
  • Ability to perform research and effectively present options and recommendations to management is necessary. In-depth knowledge of Compensation and Benefits theories and practice and knowledge of EMEA laws and regulations required
  • High levels of analytical skills required, together with goal accomplishment orientation. Must be results driven, highly energetic, service oriented team player who can function effectively and independently in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to gain trust, respect, and support through business knowledge and functional competence
  • Willingness and ability to travel 10-15% of the time
  • Bachelor's, and preferably higher, degree in Business Administration, Finance, Sciences, Mathematics or other related discipline
