Essential Job Function and Accountability:
The Sales Manager will be accountable for revenue generation in Taiwan for laboratory chemicals and reagents products. This person will manage channels and sales execution and partner with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver on commercial strategies. In addition to ownership of the local sales targets, this person will be responsible for sales forecasting and ongoing evaluation of the channel partners and sales channel efficiency. The Sales Manager will work very closely with the broader functional teams, as well as Management, to leverage and develop key partners and customer relationships. This person must have an ability and willingness to travel within the region when required. This position will report into the Senior Sales Development Manager, Commercial Operations.
Lead, develop and manage channel business for the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) for Thermo Fisher Scientific in Taiwan.
Achieve the revenue targets for the LCD portfolio in Taiwan.
Work to develop and execute most effective marketing strategies for the Taiwan market.
Work with sales support teams, including but not limited to Supply Chain, Information Technology, Finance and Human Resource teams to develop and ensure effective business support practices and strategies for the business in Taiwan.
Recommends and implements tactical plans and programs for the achievement of sales goals.
Report quarterly goals aligned to overall corporate and regional objectives.
Monitor and report regional market trends, identify new market potentials.
Participate in scientific conferences, tradeshows and related field support activities.
Liaise and coordinate with marketing team to ensure maximum market segment penetration within Taiwan.
Travel within assigned territory as necessary to work with local channel partners to close critical sales efforts.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related science and may have an advanced degree, certification or additional professional training.
At minimum, 5 years of relevant experience in managing sales, product management, preferably in Laboratory Chemicals, Consumables or related industry in Taiwan.
Strong exposure to overall business dynamics across Taiwan with strong ability to manage relationships across multiple countries and business divisions.
Familiarity with customer service/sales/marketing within Taiwan.
Possesses a working knowledge of the Taiwanese market, and interact effectively in Taiwan business environment.
Strong Channel management experience advantageous to know how to work with them.
Excellent interpersonal skills to influence people in a matrix multi-cultural organization environment.
Experienced in managing the sales budgeting process.
Strong working knowledge of the sales process (lead generation, quoting, purchasing, revenue recognition) as well as highly competent in forecast management.
Exceptional commercial leadership and coaching skills.
Service oriented with strong overall business acumen.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel as needed.
Requires excellent communication skills, verbal, and written.
Proficient in both English and Mandarin.
