Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage experience and knowledge of critical project/program management and business transformation disciplines to drive improvements in practice offerings and deliverables.
  • Continually seek to understand the business and organization needs in order to design and/or deliver effective solutions to the most significant business challenges and drive real value.
  • Work with multiple functional disciplines (e.g., finance, supply chain, human resources, customer service) across sites/geographies and quickly build knowledge and credibility across the unit, functional and leadership level.
  • Develop and deliver thoughtful and comprehensive transformation strategies that drive growth and innovation, strengthen organizational performance and resilience and enhance leadership effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Identify potential organizational risk and performance gaps; work to develop and implement mitigation and/or corrective actions through metrics and PPI Business System tools.
  • Create and manage KPI Leadership and Project Management tools to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual initiatives and larger programs.
  • Evolve criteria and framework for evolving potential projects and programs to align with strategy and goals. Guide the development of business cases for go/no-go decisions. Assign resources to initiatives as appropriate.
  • Act as a champion for change through communicating the need, business case and anticipated impact of proposed projects and programs.
  • Monitor execution of various team activities. Mentor teams so that projects achieve intended results. Help remove barriers that are slowing down projects and remove inefficiencies. Provide periodic updates to senior management.
  • Lead (coach, develop, motivate, and monitor performance) the teams. This includes setting job expectations, providing regular feedback, assisting with issue resolution, conducting timely performance reviews, identifying performance challenges, creating actions plans and monitoring effectiveness of those action plans.
  • Facilitate and drive the implementation of the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System globally within functional and regional groups and specified sites to enable profitable growth, intensify the customer experience, and increase employee engagement.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as a Continuous Improvement or Project/Program Management ‘expert’ with a proven history of implementing successful transformation or Business System based including elements such as:
    • Strategic Planning and Strategy Deployment; Organizational Strategy and Work Flow design (at all levels of an organization); Learning and Development Strategy and Execution (including lean, scrum/agile learning)
    • KPI Leadership and Lean Leadership (Daily Accountability, Visual Management, Leader Standard Work, and Gemba Walks).
    • Advanced Lean tool usage (i.e process and product 3P, VMS, FMEA error-proofing, material flow, and Kanban) or other advanced improvement methodology such as Scrum, Agile, Appreciative Inquiry, etc; Expertise in problem-solving in Kaizen events focusing on a formal program/process.
    • Change Management/Leadership and Adoption for Sustainability (technology, process, and/or organization change leadership; Culture and Collaboration Improvement (communications, employee engagement)

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a scientific field and a High School Diploma.
  • Proven analytical skills, experience developing strategic vision and transforming vision into an operational model.
  • Ability to maintain an organized approach, clarity of purpose, and goal orientation in a rapidly changing environment involving multiple stakeholders of various levels from throughout the organization.
  • Ability to lead teams consisting of both direct-reporting and indirect-reporting relationships.
  • Ability to facilitate candid, orderly discussions among diverse groups and achieve consensus outcomes; Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to remove barriers that are slowing down projects and driving inefficiencies.
  • Able to drive strategic thinking and continuous improvement in both non-operational and operational areas, including connecting the cross-functional resources to remove waste along the extended value streams. (i.e. Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, IT).
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed, up to 50%.
  • Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, BB or MBB certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (e.g. MBA, MSc) or Doctoral degree (e.g. PhD, MD).
  • Entrepreneurial; highly collaborative; self-directed, yet team oriented; results oriented; innovative and able to conceptualize, develop and scale new capabilities/functions.
  • Strong interpersonal and influence skills and ability to cultivate strong relationships at strategic leadership and decision maker levels internally and externally.
  • A holistic thinker who can look enterprise-wide to integrate and streamline systems for optimal benefit.
  • Passion for driving improvement and leading change in a complex, global environment.
  • High ethical standards to support a professional business code of conduct.
  • Project and program management / PMP certification.
