We are looking for a Financial Analyst I to support the site R&D Organization to meet financial and operational targets and help drive the right innovation decisions in our high end microscope technology. To achieve this, the candidate will work together with R&D Program Managers within the Advanced Technology, Corporate Technology and Applied Software Group. Like our R&D Organization the candidate will have an interaction with other functions like Sourcing and Operations. This role requires experience in accounting, finance, R&D and business partnering.

Responsibilities:
  • Month/Quarter end close activities
  • Assist in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process for opex, capex and headcount
  • Assist in the forecasting process
  • COGS monitoring of the newly developed products
  • Time reporting for the R&D groups
  • Financial planning, analysis and reporting for R&D projects
  • Process and financial reporting improvements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting is required
  • A minimum of 2 years of finance/accounting experience
  • An ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and a strong aptitude in business partnering
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Excel, knowledge of QAD and Hyperion is an advantage

  • Excellent proactive communication skills, both oral and written
  • Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated with high bias for action and accountability
  • Proven track record to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and work under pressure
