Position Summary:

The Scientific Advisor / Medical Science Liaison MSL will plan, design and write clinical studies in the pathology and oncology literature of strategic importance in relation to Next Generation Sequencing (HEOR, Clinical Validity/Utility). This role will also have some blended responsibilities of an Medical Science Liaison (MSL).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies for generating evidence within Oncology utilizing NGS
  • Stay abreast of the clinical literature in NGS specifically in Oncology and Pathology
  • Lead Evidence Generation cross-functional working group teams within Marketing and R&D
  • Proactively work to maintain and develop high level KOL engagement to help develop effective research and access strategies
  • Actively participate in the Clinical Advisory and Clinical Approval Boards
  • Assure alignment with Clinical Guidelines in Evidence generation activities
  • Plan scientific programs at congresses and company-sponsored symposia
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate Value Dossiers in the field of Oncology supporting the product portfolio
  • Scientific consultant to Marketing in the development of educational and marketing material
  • Review and evaluate scientific literature continuously
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree (such as PhD, MD, PharmD) in Life sciences
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or diagnostics industry (including consultancy and academia)
  • A track record of delivering relevant clinical evidence, dossier adaptations, and of scientific publications in relevant professional and disease area related journals
  • Past experience collaborating with clinical, medical, and commercial stakeholders in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize clinical and scientific data and influence strategy development
  • Understands factors driving market access and how clinical evidence can support access decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong scientific knowledge in clinical research methods
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written presentation skills
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications is required
  • International experience is preferred, as well as demonstrated cultural awareness

Location: this is a remote field based position. Any location will be considered

Travel is required up to 25-35%
