Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager with strong technical skills in the IT space and a mindset on continuous improvement. Supporting an IT Operations team of 6 across Australia and New Zealand, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of your team and IT operational excellence. At the same time, you will gain exposure to local, regional and global systems and process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Australia and New Zealand IT Operations support team of six staff
  • Provide excellent support for the ANZ business ensuring best practice procedures are followed
  • Ensure that networks, servers and systems are available at all times during business hours
  • Plan and implement hardware replacements in alignment with the budget
  • Project Manager Australia and NZ tasks as part of regional / global IT infrastructure projects
  • Work closely with regional / global IT Operations Teams
  • Focus on improving internal processes and procedures and updating SOPs as required
  • Manage the configuration, installation, and upgrades of Servers, Systems and Network Links
  • Develop, plan and implement software and hardware upgrades
  • Manage daily server backups with 100% reliability and ensure client computers have appropriate backup in place

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field
  • ITIL Foundation qualifications
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Managing a team of people to provide excellent support
  • Managing a helpdesk system and team to meet SLAs
  • Experience in Network / System administration across a wide area network
  • Experience in AWS / Azure Cloud Computing an advantage

  • Superior skills with Microsoft Office products
  • VMWare, EMC SAN, Citrix, SharePoint, SQL, ServiceNow, Office 365, SCCM, Symantec, AWS
