Job Description

As a member of the Molecular Biology finance team, you will play a key role in supporting business as usual reporting activities, including the monthly close cycle, data reconciliation, and ad hoc functional requests. You will also be responsible for two main projects:

  • Develop a comprehensive model to improve forecasting processes, first within Molecular Biology and ultimately scaled across multiple businesses
  • Refine the current systems reconciliation process and that helps multiple business units understand and mitigate risks associated with system complexities

In addition, you will:

  • Provide cross functional support within the Molecular Biology business to help drive finance focused projects and data requests
  • Partner with the current finance team to analyze trends and variances during month end reporting
  • Assist with the annual Strategic Plan process for Molecular Biology and help prepare related business and finance presentations
  • Create a forecasting model that will be dynamic across multiple regions/time frames and will be able to provide insight on both run-rate performance and large order trends
  • Work across multiple financial systems (CMR, Hyperion Planning, EDW, Excel)
  • Collaborate with multiple finance, functional, and business teams both locally and globally

Requirements:

  • Rising senior by summer 2018 and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Must have previous internship or work experience in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Must have experience working in Excel
  • Results oriented through initiative, ownership, and accountability
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement
  • Geographical flexibility
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without restriction
