We currently have an opportunity for a high energy finance professional to fill a Sr. Finance Manager position we have open at our Carlsbad, CA location.

Position Summary:

As an integral part of the Genetic Sciences Division Finance team, this role will primarily lead the consolidation and reporting of the Division’s financial results and performance. This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to join a growing and dynamic Division and provides a significant opportunity for career development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and compilation of the MBR, QBR, Monthly Forecasts, and AOP for the Division
  • Understand key business drivers and provide management with accurate, timely, and relevant information for decision-making
  • Interface effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate judgment and tact to establish effective working relationships across the LSG matrix organization
  • Ensure consistent reporting and communication across GSD business units and drive alignment with Operations, Commercial, and Shared Service functions
  • Provide financial support to the Division Marketing, Channel Management, and Program management functions
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
  • Utilize the 4Is (integrity, intensity, innovation, involvement) while maintaining a positive attitude and acting as a team player
  • Division PPI Champion

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in Finance or related field required. MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a finance role with hands-on experience in providing financial analysis to drive key business decisions within the context of a matrix organization and/or corporate environment
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to establish credibility and indirectly influence others, building effective partnerships throughout the organization (e.g., internal customers, FP&A, senior leadership)
  • Ability to build effective teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interpret and summarize financial analysis results in a clear, concise, accurate manner
  • Desire to formulate and drive process improvements, with confidence to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines
  • Display maturity in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive financial information
  • Foresight to anticipate implications of decisions (i.e., ability to proactively address problems)
  • Systems experience, including, but not limited to: E1, SAP, EDW, Hyperion Planning, HFM/CMR
  • Technical ability to effectively navigate interplay between financial systems
