Job Description

Financial Analyst, GPO Administration: The GPO Financial Analyst is responsible for driving flawless execution of contracts and management of GPO fees. The Analyst will be the expert on handling RFP/RFI submissions, contract authoring, contract implementation, and contract maintenance. Those responsibilities include coordinating the contract implementation workflow, identifying potential gaps, recommending solutions, and sharing best practices. The Contract Administrator is also responsible for review and redlines of contract terms and conditions in close coordination with legal, & field.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Consistently practice policies, procedures, and processes to harmonize all aspects of GPO admin fees, with appropriate flexibility to meet customer/market needs and dynamics
  • Identify and understand key areas of change management with the ability to recognize and communicate the impact of change to GPO admin fee processing and assigned tasks
  • Ability to partner with Health System Directors and VP’s, Channel Management and other internal and external stakeholders to operationalize GPO admin fee contracts with best in class efficiency and accuracy
  • Take a role in the RFP/RFI process to include gathering required pricing approvals & non-financial information as well review terms and conditions in close coordination with legal, & field for timely submission
  • Implementation of price changes resulting from contract maintenance activity to include scheduled price increases stipulated in the contract and compliance price adjustments for noncompliant accounts
  • Generate contract price files, IDN roster maintenance on contracts, creation of member add letters, and draft amendments
  • Support Corporate Accounts, including the Healthcare segment, by preparing monthly reporting, providing AOP support, completing deal pro forma analysis and calculating and reporting incentives
  • Play a key supporting role in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, AOP reviews and in the preparation of MBR, QBR materials
  • Partner with the commercial leaders and collaborate with finance team in the development of financial models and templates for incentive deal and payment models with high level of consistency and accuracy
  • Improve understanding of the key business drivers
  • As part of the monthly financial review process, document and present to leadership, detailed variance analysis and commentary for actual results compared to plan and to the prior year and an updated forecast summary, including risks, opportunities, and recommendations
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial systems and processes
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required by finance and business leadership

    Minimum Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field
  • Commercial contract operations, GPO admin fees analytics, or related experience
  • Advanced Excel skills; financial modeling, pivot tables
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of both a team environment and individually
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Career-driven, interested in advancement to further responsibilities
