Job Description

How Will You Make an Impact?

A dynamic and talented individual is required to conduct performance testing state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation products. Successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills.


What will you do?

  • Participate in all phases of the product development life cycle from product definition to final release
  • Responsible for testing products, documenting & reporting results
  • Work collaboratively with employees in Operations, Marketing, Technical Publications as necessary to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned


How will you get there?




Education
  • BS in science-based field or equivalent
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Necessary to Perform Essential Functions

Required
  • Motivated, Driven, Autonomous work competency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Decision making for quality results
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of software test methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in using test management tools
  • Experience with defect tracking systems
  • Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement
Desired
  • A good understanding of qualitative and quantitative analytical chemistry
  • Familiarity with development processes, including stage gate & agile
  • Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking workflow
  • High level of comfort speaking with sales, marketing and customers to understand critical technical needs that drive the business
