HID R&D Summer Intern

Summary of Internship

This internship is in the Human Identification group that develops new products and technologies for human identification markets such as paternity and forensics. The intern will be primarily responsible for assisting the R&D lead of a project with experiments needed for the development of a product. The intern will participate in the scientific planning, execution and interpretation of relevant experiments. The intern will communicate results through formal reports and oral presentations at lab meetings.

Skills and Abilities
  • The intern should have practical experience at the lab bench in molecular biology techniques such as the PCR, cloning and electrophoresis.
  • An interest in pursuing a career in human genetics and or forensic science is desirable.

Qualifications
  • Must currently be enrolled in college level degree program
  • A 3.0 GPA in science courses is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
