Within the Factory the Technical Trainer is responsible for the execution of part of the Factory training program for the system testers. The Technical Trainer is member of the Factory Support Group (FSG) which is responsible for training of the system testers and troubleshooting on the electron microscopes in the Factory. Through the use of personal experience and insight the Technical trainer also have the role to ensure that the System Tester acquires the appropriate skills and knowledge to do his job.
Individual growth and the gaining of further personal insights and responsibilities may fall outside of the scope of the Mentorship intervention unless specifically demanded.

The deliverables
  • Develop, update and review training materials
  • Deliver (on the job) training and be a mentor for the system testers
  • Seek opportunities to help the system tester practice and develop key skills
  • Generate workable solutions together in a mutually respectful way
  • Challenge the system tester to face up to opportunities and problems, personal strengths and weakness
  • Track the training progress of the system tester
  • Perform the work instructions on the electron microscope
  • Help other members of the group to develop their skills

The requirements
  • Education: bachelor or university degree
  • Didactical skills
  • Preferably experience as a trainer in a high tech factory environment
  • Comfortable with E-learning methods
  • Self-starter who is also highly productive when not supervised
  • English verbal and in writing
  • Flexible, able to discard ideas when they seem ineffective, and come up with new ones
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, fast change, and lots of uncertainty
  • Committed and consistent
  • Operate and test complex systems
