Job Description

Responsibilities :
  • Enable collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments to prevent quality related wastes.
  • Direct interface with customers on internal and external quality concerns. Provide guidance, direction, and leadership to address all RMA’s relating to quality of product or process
  • Prepare and review internal & vendor quality reports and data.
  • Analyze product specifications and manufacturing processes and procedures to determine best practices to meet or exceed quality and ISO standards. Lead changes to our processes and ISO procedures as required.
  • Lead continuous improvements regarding quality assurance and analytical services to become Best-in-Class. Benchmark internal and external facilities as required.
  • Development of daily audit and quality tracking reports to measure improvements.
  • Teach Process Improvement Tools and routinely coach use of those tools.
  • Drive supplier quality improvement and measure effectiveness.
  • Capture internal and external Quality Performance Data and provide linkage to Process Owners to drive improvement.
  • Conduct formal assessments of internal and external processes.
  • Provide a continual flow of recommendations to reduce systemic waste.
  • Serve as a manufacturing liaison during new product development, customer communication, and the RMA process.
  • Engage in harmonizing, maintaining and enhancing the Miami Quality Management System.
  • Head the processes regarding Customer CDAs, Customer Audits, Internal Audits, Monthly KBMs, CAPA Procedures, Vendor Evaluations, Validation Master Planning, Management Review Meetings and Outsource services Oversight..
  • Demonstrate continual self improvement.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • College degree is required and BS is preferred. However, BA and substantial work experience will be given consideration.
  • 5 -7 years of Quality, Lean, and Manufacturing Leadership experience.
  • Experience in Quality Systems is mandatory.
  • Verbal and written communication skills including good persuasion skills are a must.
  • Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of various continual process improvement techniques.
  • Be proficient in process auditing procedures, and statistical waste reduction techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in data collection, measuring, control charts, analysis, improvement and control.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs or more but not always anticipated. Capability to working in a normal office and manufacturing floor environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A self starter who can effectively work within a rapid paced lean environment.
  • This position candidate should be comfortable working in a changing environment, through communicating with vendors, customers, facility personnel and commercial team mates.
  • Candidate must perform independent analysis summaries without constant supervision.
  • Experience with ISO 13485 is strongly desired.
