Thermo Fisher Scientific's Life Science Solutions Group's Laboratory Chemicals Division in Fair Lawn, New Jersey has an immediate opening for a Sr. Financial Analyst.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand key financial business drivers and provide management with accurate, timely, and relevant information for enhanced business decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Marketing, Ops, IT, etc.)
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization within the functional area (reporting, analysis) Innovate new reporting tools that deliver enhanced analytics and produce efficiencies
  • Support creation of Monthly Business Review/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) packages
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to develop and report key operating performance metrics and trends analysis including inventory, service levels, productivity savings project tracking, capital spending project tracking, and other metrics as required
  • Support preparation of weekly revenue forecast, risk and opportunities analysis, variance to plan, and related commentary
  • Leverage system capabilities to efficiently report key performance metrics to leadership team on a regular basis
  • Lead LCD AOP and STRAP process
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc analyses as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; modeling, pivot tables, and complex functions
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills; ability to present to senior leadership
  • Excellent organization, detail-orientation and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as in teams, both cross-functionally and internationally
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships


Preferred Qualifications

  • A CPA is highly preferred as is previous experience in Public Accounting
  • Proficiency with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Corporate Management Reporting (CMR), and Essbase is highly beneficial
  • Experience with MS Access, IBM Cognos, and Saleforce is a plus
