In Finland we have over 700 employees in Vantaa and Joensuu. Our extensive range of products developed and manufactured in Finland includes pipettes, microplate instruments, magnetic particle processing systems as well as clinical chemistry and industrial chemistry analyzers and laboratory automation solutions. The Vantaa facility houses several different functions such as R&D, marketing, sales, service, logistics, quality as well as instrument and reagent manufacturing and is located close to the Vantaankoski railway station.

Sourcing Specialist
Vantaa, Finland

We are now looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join our developing Sourcing and Purchasing team of 12 procurement professionals in Vantaa. The team is responsible for procurement of materials and services needed for production of scientific instruments, consumables and reagents. The Sourcing Specialist will play a key role in the commercial success for CascadionTM SM Clinical Analyzer, a highly innovative fully automated LCMSMS system specifically designed for clinical laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring the success of supplier collaboration in your specified responsibility area. You manage and develop the key suppliers under your responsibility, actively seeking and driving quality and total cost improvements.

Working closely together with R&D and production you help ensure the sourcing cases and development projects meet business targets. The task is SRM focused, but you handle purchasing when required to support projects. You lead agreement- and price negotiations. In all your tasks you collaborate with specialists of challenging technical and scientific fields.


We are looking for a candidate with more than 3 years of professional experience in sourcing. We would expect you to have experience in SRM and SRM development, agreement negotiations and purchasing in a manufacturing industry.

We would expect a candidate to have an M.Sc in Engineering or Economics or a comparable background.

We are looking for a professional with the drive to independently take ownership of tasks and see to that targets are met. Enthusiasm for development, along with related skills, are an asset. The role requires capability and willingness to understand the technologies we work on and to learn the tools (e.g. ERP) needed to get the job done.

Teamwork skills and an ability to network across functions and geographical borders are important to succeed.

In the role, it is necessary to communicate and negotiate fluently in Finnish as well as in English.
