Job Description

Position Details:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial close activities including update and maintenance of the General Ledger, analysis of account variances and reporting of results to management

• Responsible for performing, maintaining and managing intercompany accounting; record and maintain intercompany balances and settle balance through the netting process.

• Fixed Asset Management; including record acquisitions / dispositions in FAS system and record depreciation monthly.

• Complete account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timely and independently
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of general ledger/trial balance
• Coordinate and maintain monthly recurring and ad-hoc journal entries supported by adequate documentation
• Perform monthly analysis of general ledger account variances and reconcile changes
• Assist on key efficiency metrics to improve performance
• Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits
• Assist or lead process improvement teams

• Adherence to GAAP and Corporate Accounting Policies and Procedures

• Possess team-building skills and the proven ability to work with a diverse group of people

• Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with peers and upper management

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

Team player

Must be flexible, detail oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Ability to work independently; self-motivated; high bias for action

Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Knowledge of GAAP

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

Minimum two years related work experience

Excel skills at Intermediate/Advanced level, including use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Self motivated with high bias for action and problem solving
