International Women's Day
Thermo Fisher Scientific celebrates our women in leadership.
San Jose, CA
Evett has been growing with Thermo Fisher for 15 years. She joined the company as Director of Product Management and then proceed to take on roles as Product Specialist, Product Manager, Strategic Product Marketing, Consultant, Director Product Management, Sr Director Product Marketing, VP/GM Ion Chromatography and Sample Prep. She managed to get where she is today by working together with a VP/GM on a development plan which included participating and presenting in monthly business reviews.
Evett lists her natural leadership skills as driving growth, execution focused, and a collaborator.
Conversely, Evett says she has had to work on developing business acumen by working with prior GM's and leveraging finance leaders.
Like other women with are highlighting, Evett says she has had to compromise her work/life balance during her career but that it is necessary to become a great leader.
“You own your career. Put together a meaningful development plan and execute it. Seek a mentor and/or coach within the Company.”
