International Women's Day
Thermo Fisher Scientific celebrates our women in leadership.
Lisa has been with the company seventeen years combined, with five years away to work for Promega. “I started with Corning as a sales representative in 1982 and then moved into distribution. I have had a variety of increasing responsibilities within the sales arena ultimately having global responsibility at Promega before rejoining the Thermo Fisher organization. I moved into general management and held two VP/GM roles before returning back to the channel in my current role.”
“Assessing and building strong functional teams. Honesty and integrity, good communicator, decision making capabilities, delegation and empowerment, confident, and I try to be a motivating/inspiring leader.”
Lisa’s challenge is financial acumen. To help strengthen this area she surrounds herself with strong, helpful finance leaders.
“Most of my sacrifices have been around family. Four moves in 10 years disrupting two of my three childrens' high school experiences. Many missed birthdays, school events, sports events, anniversaries, etc.”
“Listen and be compassionate. Try to infuse a work/life balance. Having children and a successful marriage is one of the most rewarding parts of my life. I would not be where I am today without the support of my husband and children.”
