Your browser may be blocking microphone access. When you enter the speaking section, a popup automatically appears asking permission to use your microphone. If you don't see this popup or it's blocked, follow the steps below for your browser.

1. Check the address bar. Look for the microphone icon or a lock icon next to the URL.
2. Click the icon. A dropdown menu will appear with permissions.
3. Change microphone setting. Find "Microphone" and set it to Allow instead of Block.
4. Refresh the page. Reload the assessment and the microphone permission popup should appear normally.

1. Open Safari preferences. Click Safari in the menu bar, then select Settings or Preferences.
2. Go to Websites. Click the Websites tab at the top.
3. Select Microphone. In the left sidebar, click Microphone.
4. Change the default. Look for the assessment website and change the setting from Deny to Allow. If it's not listed, Safari will ask when you next access the speaking section.
5. Refresh the page. Go back to the assessment and reload it.

1. Check the address bar. Look for the microphone icon or lock icon next to the URL.
2. Click the icon. A panel will open showing your current permissions.
3. Change microphone setting. Find "Microphone" and toggle it to Allow.
4. Refresh the page. Reload the assessment and try the speaking section again.

Before starting the speaking section, make sure your microphone is working. On most devices, you can test it through your system settings. Once microphone permissions are enabled for the assessment, the speaking section will guide you through a quick audio check before recording.

The assessment works best in recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. If you're experiencing issues, try updating your browser to the latest version.

Try these steps: first, refresh the page. If the error persists, clear your browser's cache and cookies, then reload. If you still see the error, try accessing the assessment from a different browser or device. If none of these work, reach out to the support team with details about the error message.

Yes, you can switch devices. Simply click the assessment link in your email on the new device and you'll be taken back to where you left off. Make sure you've exited the assessment tab on your previous device first.
