“After receiving my undergraduate degree, I joined a rotational program at my previous company and found it to be an invaluable experience. I knew I wanted to join a similar rotational program after I received my graduate degree and was excited to discover this program at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Most professionals do not get to experience three different roles in two years, and it allows you to figure out the area of Human Resources you want to pursue in the long-term. And by being part of three different teams, you also get to meet and work with more colleagues than in traditional roles. In my short time here, I have learned so much and have seen the impact of my work on the company. I have also gotten to work with colleagues that truly care about my development and are invested in my success during this program.”
Jess, previous intern and current GLDP HR, Villanova University
“While beginning the job search process during my MBA, I had a short list of attributes I was specifically looking for in my next company and role – luckily, I was able to find everything I wanted with Thermo Fisher Scientific and the HR Graduate Leadership Development Program. I knew I wanted to work at a large, global company that makes a positive impact on the world and Thermo Fisher’s mission to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer more than fit that criteria. I also wanted my next role to leverage my experience as an HR Business Partner while fast-tracking my exposure to other areas of HR and accelerating my development. The HR GLDP gave me the opportunity to move around the company getting to know our businesses and make an impact in a short amount of time, build an internal network and receive mentorship from senior leaders, and discover my passion for talent management. As a graduate of the HR GLDP, I know first-hand the value of rotations, development and mentorship in growing your career. Being able to apply what I’ve learned to support others grow their careers inspires me to bring my best every day.”
Rachel, GLDP HR alumna, Arizona State University
