How our close-knit team makes a difference in the local community:

• The Tijuana IT CoE team coordinated a pet food drive to support Santurario Esperanza, collecting food and supplies for animals in need for a refuge 100% maintained through donations.
• A donation from the parking recovery fee was presented by this IT CoE the PATA A.C. (Protección de Animales en Total Abuso en Tijuana, BC.), which organizes free and low-cost sterilization campaigns in low-income area and performs activities that promote the learning of the rights of domestic animals and their basic care.
• In support of deaf persons, the IT CoE provided a corporate donation to the APSOR (Asociacion Tijuana En Apoyo al Sordo) as part of large and well-coordinated giving effort throughout the site.
• Keeping the local environment clean and healthy is important to our IT CoE colleagues and their family and friend, who participated in a beach clean-up to support Playas de Tijuana.
• Providing STEM learning for young minds helps ensure we are developing a passion for science and technology in our students. The IT CoE team volunteers regularly to lead Computer Science learning workshops with local high school students in Tijuana.
• A variety of social clubs and activities are organized by our IT CoE colleagues at the end of the work day and/or on weekends, including Hiking, Paintball, Video Games, Football and Board Games.
