If you hold a bachelor's degree in life sciences or a clinical research field and have a strong interest in the pharmaceutical industry, you may qualify for one of our entry opportunities. You can pursue a Clinical Trial Coordinator (CTC), Assistant Clinical Research Associate (ACRA), or CRA I role to advance your career in clinical monitoring.

​​​​​​​Should you seek a new way to apply your skills, you may thrive in this role. Your credentials should include a clinical or medical certification/license (i.e. RN, PharmD, M.D.) or equivalent and/or relevant formal academic/vocational training, related experience, and/or clinical research coordinator experience.

About our CRA Academy training


Every CRA who is new to the role or new to the organization will complete the CRA Academy training. The CRA Academy launched in 2013 to develop and train our high-quality, entry-level CRAs. Since then, more than 2,500 Academy CRAs have been successfully placed on studies at all levels of therapeutic area complexity, and all study phases. The CRA Academy has placed colleagues on studies in more than 40 countries, demonstrating our commitment to meeting the needs of customers and developing colleagues in all regions.

Mapping your career options 

Progress your career in monitoring

With the ability to grow from Assistant CRA to CRA I, CRA II, Senior CRA I, Senior CRA II, and Principal CRA. Develop expertise in specific therapeutic areas to become a subject matter expert. 

Interested in leadership? You can pursue our dedicated people leader track of Associate Manager, Manager, and Senior Manager in Clinical Operations.

Flex into other opportunities within Clinical Operations

Try out a different area of focus in the function, such as Startup Operations (a Country Approval Specialist or a Contract Specialist), a Central Review Manager, a Resourcing Analyst, a Centralized Monitoring Analyst, or our innovative Site Data Specialist track.

Love being a CRA, but interested in a client-dedicated role? Pursue an opportunity in our FSP team. 

Explore a next step throughout our Clinical Development Services and beyond

Pursue growth into a Clinical Lead or Project Lead role within our dedicated Therapeutic Units. Consider additional functional areas such as Feasibility, Medical Writing, Regulatory Affairs, Data Management, Operational Bidding, or Clinical Supplies.
