For example, for U.S. colleagues, we offer:

Accident Insurance

Elect supplemental accident coverage for peace of mind. This coverage provides a benefit payment after a covered accident that results in specific injuries and treatments (e.g., stitches, X-rays, emergency room treatment). This plan also includes accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Critical Illness Plan

This voluntary benefit plan offers extra financial protection if a colleague or their covered family member is newly diagnosed with a significant illness, such as multiple sclerosis, cancer, type one diabetes and other conditions.


Dental Coverage

To promote good dental and overall health, we offer a choice of national dental plans.

Expert Medical Opinion Service
Connect with leading doctors for their expert opinion on your health status — without leaving the comfort of home. Consider this company-paid service when you want a virtual consultation or second opinion on your diagnosis or treatment plan.

Hospital Indemnity Plan
Offset hospital expenses with this voluntary benefit. The plan pays you an initial benefit when admitted and then transitions to a lower benefit amount for the entire hospital stay up to 30 days (amounts vary based on the type of hospitalization and length of stay).

IMPACT Cancer Care Program
The IMPACT Cancer Care Program provides company-paid personalized support for employees and dependents facing a cancer diagnosis or with a family history of cancer. Services include clinical trial support, advanced testing, family cancer risk assessment and more.

Medical Plans
Thermo Fisher offers a choice of 3 national medical plans — a higher cost PPO plan with lower deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums, and two lower cost High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP). Our Basic and Core HDHPs provide the opportunity to save money and receive company-paid contributions (in addition to your own) into a Health Savings Account (HSA). All of our national medical plans include prescription drug coverage. Colleagues in certain locations may also be eligible for regional medical and prescription drug coverage.

Prediabetes & Diabetes Management
This program helps eligible individuals lose weight and become healthier and includes digital health coaching, a smart scale and other tools and resources to help you combat prediabetes. Those with diabetes can manage their condition more easily and save money through one of our partner programs. If eligible, get a connected meter, online resources, coaching and unlimited strips at no cost to you.

Spending & Savings Accounts
We offer an HSA and three types of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). These accounts allow you to pay for out-of-pocket expenses, save on taxes, save for retirement and support your family’s health.

Virtual Visits
Seeing a doctor is convenient and confidential with virtual visits. Plan participants can visit their member site to schedule a virtual visit. A wide range of treatments and therapies can be provided. Many providers can also prescribe some medications and have them sent to your local pharmacy.

Vision Coverage
Thermo Fisher’s comprehensive vision plan provides convenient access to a nationwide network of providers. Coverage includes exams, contacts, lenses and frames, and additional benefits for diabetics.
