Uppsala

Our international ImmunoDiagnostics Centre of Excellence is headquartered in Uppsala. The site of the division’s strategic management, administration and business development activities, is also the home of extensive research and development as well as world-class manufacturing facilities featuring over 1,000 colleagues.

Olink
For almost 50 years, Thermo Fisher, ImmunoDiagnostics (previously known as Phadia), has maintained global leadership in allergy testing and become one of the world’s leading autoimmune disease test providers. We develop, manufacture and market complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy asthma and autoimmune diseases.

In July 2024, Thermo Fisher completed the integration of Olink, a leader in proteomics based in Uppsala, Sweden. This acquisition adds approximately 800 new colleagues and enhances our expertise in protein study. Olink's platform measures over 5,400 proteins with remarkable specificity and speed, boosting our capabilities in developing new treatments and precision medicine.

As part of Thermo Fisher's Life Sciences Solutions, Olink's technology will drive forward scientific discovery and improve global healthcare. Just outside of Ängelholm, standing proudly amongst fields and farms, is our Allergon site where a dedicated group of colleagues produce and extract top-quality raw materials used in our allergy tests and also other health products on the market.

Stockholm
In central Stockholm we have an office that supports customers with laboratory products and services, analytical instruments, diagnostics and research related products, instruments and services.
Gothenburg
On the west-coast in Gothenburg, a team of nearly 50 colleagues works from our newly-built warehouse and office to deliver a wide range of laboratory equipment and consumables to customers across the Nordics.

Our new bioanalytical laboratory in GoCo Health Innovation City, enhances our laboratory services with a state-of-the-art 2694sqm facility. We offer advanced bioanalytical capabilities for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, including services for small and large molecules, biomarkers, and novel modalities.The lab will create up to 140 new jobs across various functions and is expected to be operational by the end of 2025, providing GLP-compliant services for all phases of drug development.
