Join our outstanding team in Brno, part of the Materials and Structural Analysis division, part of the Materials Science Business Unit. Our focus is on developing compelling, differentiated products to support customers in academia and industry built on innovative platforms developed in the Central R&D group.
Discover Impactful Work:
As an R&D Operation Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving world class effectiveness and efficiency across an international R&D team. Your efforts will help customers develop and produce next generation materials and products. This staff role is to provide strategic guidance to the leadership, offering expert advice to decision-making and long-term planning. It does not include direct people management.
A day in the Life:
- Lead Strategy Deployment and guide operational and metrics.
- Implement PPI (Practical Process Improvement) Business System (Lean principles) to boost efficiency.
- Foster collaboration between R&D departments for process improvements.
Keys to Success:
- Proven analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities across all management and engineering levels.
- Capability to build and maintain working relationships across boundaries.
Education/ Experience
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a STEM Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in developing high-performance electro-mechanical systems or subsystems for capital equipment or related industries.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to keep the intent in mind while working with an imperfect data.
- Proficiency in Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Sophisticated Excel and Power BI knowledge
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
This role will involve working with teams and individually, conducting root cause analyses, and flexibility to travel as the need arises to work effectively and build cross-team relationships.
