The Digital Project Specialist functions as a junior project manager (PM) on digitally enabled trials. In this role, you will support the project during implementation by managing internal resources, partners (eClinical technology) and external vendors (translation, instrument copyright holders). As the project specialist, you will coordinate training needs and identify legal, financial and operational risks in accordance with company and customer considerations. This role allows you the opportunity to develop skills to move into a digital implementation manager role.
The Digital Programmer works directly with project team leaders on programming activities relevant to digitally enabled trials. In this role, you are responsible for designing and building digital solutions such as eCOA, Televisit, eConsent, remote consent and patient engagement. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will customize materials for each trial as outlined by the study plan. You will research and leverage resources to resolve study issues and manage increasingly complex tasks through the development and application of new knowledge and technology.
The Digital Testing Engineer functions as subject matter expert for testing methodologies required for digitally enabled trials. In this role, you will attend design meetings to understand technology requirements and provide analysis on the testing approach and content for the technology being deployed on the project. You will lead test planning, documentation, test execution, error reporting, analysis and error verification, regression testing and end-user training and documentation.
Hear from our colleagues

“I knew friends and former colleagues that worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific, so I was able to gain insight as to how they felt about our digital and decentralized clinical trial services and the company as a whole. I heard nothing but positive things. Once I interviewed, I realized it was an even better fit! It has been a great decision to join the team as everyone has been fantastic to work with. I really enjoy the opportunity to work on all types of clinical trials and show how valuable my role is to customers. No two days are the same, and I am constantly interacting with new colleagues. For anyone thinking of joining us, go for it! You won’t regret it.”

slide 8 of 8 Working in Practical Process Improvement (PPI), I help departments run more efficiently. I do this by teaching new tools and helping teams implement new approaches to their processes. This role is rewarding in that it allows me to interact with all departments on site and learn about all the amazing work going on at Thermo Fisher Scientific. One of the best aspects of my job is working at a company with such a large product portfolio. There’s a wealth of resources within the company, which allows for greater growth potential—both in product development and career paths. At the end of the day, my work helps our departments. This allows for greater quality products, at more affordable prices, with shorter lead times—all of which increases accessibility to customers and helps make the world a healthier, cleaner and safer place.
