Job Description

At Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., we are offering an outstanding opportunity for a Staff Scientist, research & development in the Li-ion batteries industry in South Korea. As a Staff Scientist, you will collaborate with a group of professionals and play a pivotal role in driving our business forward and making a positive impact in the academic and industrial analysis community.

Research Scientist, Clean Energy (Battery Industry)

  • Location: Seoul Suseo, and 50% of Travel

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve customer unmet needs and provide detailed solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Successfully implement analytical methodology and strategy to discover causative relationships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal division or teams to compete effectively in the Li-ion battery field.
  • Build and maintain balanced relationships with customers to ensure their expectation.
  • Stay on top of the state-of-the-art technology & analysis trends and provide actionable information in performing technical collaboration projects and works with customers.

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of practical experience in R&D, electrochemistry, material sciences or analysis in the field of Li-ion batteries.
  • More than 8+ years of professional experience is preferred.
  • More than master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean.
  • ffective communication skill and problem-solving ability.
  • Positive attitude and highly organized with excellent technical leadership skills.
