Manager, Sr. Quality

This position is the Site Quality Leader in Rockford. Reporting to the PCA Quality Director.

Business Unit portfolio includes a variety of regulated and non-regulated products and services including, but not limited to, Antibodies, Cell Imaging, Immunoassays, ELISA, Protein Gel Electrophoresis, Western Blotting, Reporter Gene Assays, and more.

A day in the Life:

Quality Manager leads a team of approximately 20 Quality professionals. This position partners closely with the (PCA) Quality Director and Site Director of Operations on critical initiatives and customer relationships. In addition, this position is on the Site Leadership Team and should have strong working and collaborative relationships with Operations, R&D, Commercial, and Customer Service.

The Site Quality Leader provides direct oversight of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) deployment and success.

  • Provide quality oversight and assistance to other sites supplying product to PCA including Carlsbad, CA, Vilnius (Lithuania) and Eugene, OR, and others.
  • Serve as Quality member of Product Approval Committees for new product development projects to ensure high-quality product performance in the market for Rockford.
  • Serve Rockford Leadership team as Quality Representative and ensuring Quality is included in the Operations strategy.
  • Serve as a conduit for the Business and Operation teams to ensure all functions understand each other’s perspectives.
  • Work directly with PCA customers and other functions to resolve customer concerns/complaints.
  • Perform all job duties consistent with the 4-I values (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement).

Keys to Success:

  • Ability to drive improving customer fulfillment through leading quality teams and overseeing, through a matrix reporting structure, the site activities impacting product quality.
  • Manage a mix of research and regulated Quality System requirements, which extend from monitoring and acceptance of incoming raw materials through final production release.
  • Ensure company activities and implement systems to both company quality standards and applicable regulations.
  • Ability to influence and build an environment to encourage and promote adherence to Quality Assurance policies and requirements.
  • The role requires internal and external representation of the quality system and its requirements. This customer facing role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills in addition to attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Experience

  • Minimum 8-10 years of industry experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control with similar leadership experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $119,000.00–$180,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
