How you will make an impact?
As the Finance Leader and Business Partner to the Vice President/General Manager (VP/GM) – Global Instrument Services (IS), you will have direct exposure to the Instrument & Enterprise Service (IES), Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (CMD) and Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) senior leadership teams through providing strong business partnership support. The Finance Director plays an integral part in aligning the team goals with Division’s expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the VP/GM Global CMD/CAD IS and Division team members to provide business and financial strategy that will drive bookings/revenue growth with efficient margin.
- Enable reporting and business review processes that support both the IES, CMD & CAD organizations and Business Unit leadership working towards their financial objectives.
- Partner with Divisional FP&A leaders and finance leads to provide tools and develop processes that facilitate accurate revenue/margin forecasts by Product Line.
- Develop strategies to optimize EBITA through cost management, pricing strategies, and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure that adequate internal controls are maintained to safeguard company assets and provide accurate financial records including continued compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404.
- Develop and deploy financial targets to the organization that align with the business unit financial commitments.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to develop business strategies that drive behavior to improve both short-term and long-term financial objectives.
- Provide leadership to the finance team, constantly setting a higher standard of expectation and developing a world-class finance organization.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Finance or Accounting, preferably an MBA, CPA or CMA certification.
- Experienced Director with direct previous Business Partnership experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back, analyze the overall business impact and synthesize the messaging.
- Strong and persuasive communicator: critical to have credibility within a multifaceted, energizing environment and in the context of providing outstanding business partnering support
- Ability to excel in a highly matrixed environment and to handle ambiguity is a must.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills, able to lead priorities and workflow.
- Must be a business leader rather than a technical guide – this position plays an active role in owning the business and developing strategy, while providing challenge and support in equal measure.
- Must have an outstanding attention to detail and strong process rigor.
