Job Description

In this role as a Senior Accounting Coordinator, you will assist Accounting Manager in coding, processing and payment of all invoices, employee expenses. and involve in the month-end closing process activities. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the accounting sections with PPD entities.

Roles of this position are including but not limited to:

Payables

  • Invoice and credit note processing that compliance to PPD policies and procedures
  • Payment Preparations
  • Collection of Receipts and Invoices per local country statutory requirements
  • To check expense reimbursement submitted by employees
  • To manage vendor cost allocation

Month/Year End Closing

  • Prepare month-end journals and enter entries into Oracle
  • Prepare PL variance analysis, Balance Sheet Recs and ARCS
  • Pre-closing checking for accurate month end reconciliation

Other roles

  • To manage queries from vendors or employees in emails
  • Assist cash flow forecast
  • Assist Audit and Tax filing as well as tax audit and payroll related tax filing. To coordinate tasks that are requested by auditor and tax consultant
  • Dealing with correspondence with other PPD departments and offices
  • This position is servicing but not limited to Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan offices

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Degree in accountancy or equivalent, with specialised training in word processing, computerised data bases, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years or above proven experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Good verbal and non verbal communication skills (English and Chinese)
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Confidence to handle sensitive information and data effectively
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and outside vendors
  • Must be accurate with good attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
  • Basic understanding of tax regulation including Taiwan VAT and experience on issuing VAT credit note
  • Experience of an international company would be helpful
  • Knowledge of Oracle is an advantage
