Key Responsibilities:

GBS Automation COE is responsible to support the shared services unit of Thermo Fisher Scientific: Global Business Services by providing process automation expertise and development capabilities. Our distributed team is developing the future capabilities of the company by using both existing and new technologies in a strategic manner. GBS is a fast-growing organization and a key strategic pillar of the company. Our team has a unique opportunity to support this growth by creating additional capacity.

The GBS Automation Team in Budapest focuses on delivering automation initiatives using tools like MS SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, UiPath and other low-code or no-code automation tools and web applications (Angular, TypeScript, Nest, etc.).

The DevOps Engineer is a motivated person with basic level (1-2 years’ experience) knowledge in coding and application development, who can support process automations in controlling and monitoring those, solve technical and other relevant issues. Besides of these, the new colleague will be able to participate in automation and web application development projects as a developer and make enhancements and sub-modules in larger scale projects.

We are looking for dedicated and motivated candidates with junior / medior experience in the field of process monitoring and automation having basic knowledge and understanding of various automation tools, platforms and programming languages. This is also a great opportunity to get a deep understanding on automation- tools (like UiPath, OCR, Machine Learning, AI etc.) processes & technical delivery, automation and application development and related background processes.  Please don’t hesitate to apply if you have a specialized experience only in a narrower field.

Key responsibilities are to:
 

  • Controlling and supervising existing and running automation processes; handling of error related tickets.
  • Handling exceptions and channeling errors to relevant resolving groups
  • Machine Learning (ML) Model (re)training in UiPath’s OCR platform, Document Understanding.
  • Support Internal Testing Compliance (ITC) processes
  • Training by Developers and shadowing of Developers/Business Analysts.
  • Understanding of Technical Design Documents, process maps and to-be process documentation (part of PDD – Process Design Document)
  • Administrative tasks as handling tickets, changing documentation, granting access to web applications, etc.
  • Manage and support UAT and Hypercare periods.
  • Implement enhancements of automation projects in production.
  • Development of small projects (‘Just do It’ projects, VBA, power flow, etc.) and/or sub-modules of larger automation projects (UiPath) or web application development (based on knowledge and experience)
  • Continuously develop own skills, follow-up on new technologies, programming languages, releases and methodologies
  • Running maintain and distribute operations and performance reports

Skills/ Qualification/ Experience

  • Customer centric: customer collaboration and personal interactions with process owners and business teams.
  • Attitude dedicated to helping others and being open to learning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The individual should have high energy with the ability to organize/priorities workload and issues.
  • English language skills are required for this role
  • Ability of co-operation with developers, senior colleagues
  • Knowledge of operations maintenance processes
  • Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Outlook).

Advantages:

  • Understanding, knowledge of UiPath RPA or any other robotic platforms.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Power Tools with special focus on Power Flow and Automate Processes.
  • SharePoint experience including building workflows, lists, web parts, using APIs etc.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Web-programming knowledge/experience is an advantage (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, etc.).
  • Azure and AWS knowledge.
  • VBA and VB knowledge.
  • Service Now ticketing system knowledge.
